Claims Eligibility Rules

Claim eligibility summary for Mighty Fines memberships, including waiting periods, documents, exclusions, and fair use review.

What may be considered

A claim may be considered where the member is active, the 30-day waiting period has passed, the fine or notice was issued by a recognised Australian authority, and the claim fits within the categories included in the member's active tier.

Members must pay the fine first and provide the notice, proof of payment, and any other supporting information or verification requested during assessment.

Documents and assessment

Claims are not automatic. Every reimbursement request is reviewed case by case based on the information available at the time of assessment.

Additional information may be requested at any time. Claims that do not meet the service requirements or cannot be verified may be declined.

Tier limits and fair use

Each membership tier has its own categories, annual reimbursement cap, and claim profile. A claim that exceeds the member's remaining yearly limit or falls outside the active tier may be declined.

For the Ultimate tier, parking fine reimbursements remain subject to fair use review. Excessive or abnormal usage may result in reduced approvals, restrictions, or declined claims.

When a claim may be declined

Claims may be declined for fraudulent, misleading, or dishonest submissions, dangerous or reckless driving, drug or alcohol impairment, criminal matters, court-imposed penalties, non-Australian notices unless otherwise stated, or any category excluded from the member's tier.

Claims may also be declined where information is incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, late, or suggests deliberate offending or abnormal usage patterns.
